Christian metalcore band For Today are hitting the road once again with the nationwide headlining tour following their successful summer run on the Vans Warped Tour. The tour kicks off October 11th in St. Petersberg, FL and runs through the middle of November making stops throughout the country and features additional support from Impending Doom, Sleeping Giant, the Chariot, Texas In July and Hundredth. For Today will also head to Europe this winter for a string of headlining dates. (Full tour dates below).

Immortal, produced by Will Putney (Lamb Of God, Suicide Silence) features 11 new tracks and includes special guest appearances from Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D., Jake Luhrs of August Burns Red and Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant. The album was released to major critical acclaim with Outburn Magazine calling it “A formidable return” and Revolver Magazine declaring it to be “Rife with crafty guitar hooks and scream-along choruses.” Alternative Press also commented, “For Today have dialed back the bombast just enough to make their pounding combination of furious punk and vicious metal sound more immediate and live sounding.”

For Today’s new studio album Immortal crashed onto the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart debuting at #15 and #3 on the Independent Chart with over 14,700 albums sold in its first week out. The album also landed on a number of other Billboard charts including: #1 on the Hard Music Chart, #1 on the Christian Current/Contemporary Chart, #1 on the Top Christian/Gospel Chart and #7 on the Rock Music Chart. Immortal has sold close to 27,000 records to date, and remains at #69 on the Hard Music Chart and #155 on the Independent Chart.

For Today formed in 2005 and has since released one EP and three full-length albums. The hardcore-influenced metal band is known for their non-stop touring, high energy live performance, and unrelenting message. Having played over 1000 shows in five continents, For Today has toured with Emmure, We Came As Romans, Winds of Plague, The Devil Wears Prada. The band headlined the Scream The Prayer Tour 2010 with Maylene and The Sons of Disaster and also was on the full run of the 2012 Van’s Warped Tour.
