Canadian rockers Killinger have just been tapped as support for Black Label Society on their upcoming run of Canadian tour dates in late October and early November.

Prior to the commencement of these dates, Killinger will be play two benefit shows in support of The Alberta Diabetes Foundation (www.afdr.ab.ca) in Calgary and Edmonton, respectively. Killinger's FOYTonic, a proprietary Korean Red Ginseng drink created by Killinger axeman, Kevin Morin, will be sold on site at these shows, with all sales proceeds being donated to the charity.

For his "day job", Morin is a licensed physician and educator with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science and a specialty in psychiatric training, as well as certification in Medical Acupuncture and a thorough knowledge of Asian medicine. FOYTonic ("Fountain Of Youth" Tonic) is currently in clinical trials in Canada as a functional beverage that may help control blood sugar in glucose-intolerant individuals. Please see below for Killinger tour dates.

Killinger's self-titled full-length debut was released last year in North America via Sunmor Entertainment, distributed by BDG. BDG is distributed by RED Distribution, LLC (a division of Sony Music Entertainment). The album features a contemporary rock sound which incorporates the best elements of 80s hard rock and metal. Produced by Rick Plester (Michael Schenker, George Lynch) and mixed by Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, AC/DC, Metallica), Killinger contains catchy melodies, big guitar riffs and a guest appearance by guitar great George Lynch. With an over-the-top live show, the band has already made a name for themselves, touring with the likes of Lynch Mob, Stryper, Volbeat and Hell Yeah! Of Killinger, Exclaim! best describes their sound as "gritty, double-time rock with soaring vocals and dive-bomb guitar solos..." Killinger was recently honored in their hometown with the 2012 Edmonton Music "People's Choice" Award. Killinger is: frontman Dave Williams, lead guitarist Kevin Morin, bassist Justin Craig and drummer Chris Challice.
