Organizers for the first annual Knotfest are thrilled to announce that Randy Blythe, lead vocalist for the group Lamb Of God, has been freed from the Czech Republic and is on a flight back to the United States.

In their first performance since his imprisonment this past June, Randy and his band will perform live at Knotfest in the heart of America on Friday, August 17 in Council Bluffs, IA at Mid America Motorplex and Saturday, August 18 inSomerset, WI/Minneapolis, MN at Somerset Amphitheater.

“We are honored to present Lamb of God and thrilled to learn that Randy will be onstage for what is sure to be an amazing moment at Knotfest,” Knotfest organizers said.

Knotfest is an extraordinary two-date metal and hard rock festival featuring performances from headliners Slipknot as well as Deftones, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Serj Tankian, Cannibal Corpse, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Urge, Prong, Gojira and more. The festival grounds will feature an apocalyptic underworldwhere firebreathers, nightmarish creatures on stilts, fire and percussive light, andstunning visuals set the stage for an intoxicating and unforgettably sinister concert experience.

According to Adrenaline PR, in a separate press release, although Lamb of God has cancelled their summer co-headline tour with Dethklok, the band is currently targeting October 26th as the start date for a U.S tour. Dates and cities will be released as soon as possible. Randy will be making a public statement discussing his time in Prague and thanking fans worldwide for their support in the next week.
