Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) organizers and venues have announced set times for the Saturday, August 18 street festival featuring performances by Marilyn Manson, The Offspring, Steve Aoki, Bad Religion and more than 70 artists throughout the day and into the night. From West Hollywood’s San Vicente to Doheny Boulevards, the famed Sunset Strip will be closed to traffic for the fourth year and taken over by SSMF’s most exciting and diverse lineup yet.

In addition, the street festival this year will also feature the Monster Energy east side stage, Bud Light’s beer garden, food trucks, Gibson GuitarTown art guitar installations and interactive experiences including the LA Kings’ street hockey games, a shot on goal simulator, the LA Kings Ice Rider and giveaways. The Jack Daniel’s Experience mobile museum will also be on site this year as well as Got2Be’s “Church of Rock,” which will allow attendees to give their rock and roll confessions and The Samsung Galaxy SIII Experience.

VIP street fest ticketholders will have access to all of the above plus entrance to the VIP rooftop lounge that features specialty food options, full no-host bar, seating areas and views of the west stage, as well as access to the Virgin America VIP Lounge at On The Rox and VIP areas in the Bud Light beer garden and within the venues.

“This year’s street festival features exciting experiences that will engage our attendees throughout the day. In addition to an amazing lineup of artists, they will be able to enjoy some of L.A.’s best food trucks, outdoor beer gardens and lounges, art installations and exciting activations that all celebrate the vibrancy of this eclectic boulevard,” noted SSMF managing director Karmen Beck.

In addition to the August 18 street festival, SSMF will host performances by artists including X with special guest Ray Manzarek of The Doors (The Roxy), RZA (Key Club), Hank III (House of Blues), Robby Krieger of The Doors & Rich Robinson (Viper Room) and James Ingram (Whisky) in the venues on Thursday, August 16 and Friday, August 17.

SSMF 2012 will also celebrate the music and legacy of The Doors throughout the festival. A limited number of three-day VIP passes, which include access to all of these shows during SSMF and VIP entrance to the street festival, are still available. A portion of ticket sales will benefit IMPACT Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center.
