Arizona grind masters Landmine Marathon have announced plans for a week-long West Coast tour en route to the Obscene Extreme Festival in Mexico alongside Napalm Death, Phobia, Dying Fetus and many more. The tour will kick off on March 19 in Las Vegas and continue until the band reaches Mexico City on March 28.
During The Acacia Strain's tenure with Prosthetic Records, the band released four acclaimed studio albums -- two of which, 2008's "Continent" and 2010's "Wormwood," cracked the Billboard charts -- as well as a Top 10 live DVD.
Arizona grinders Landmine Marathon recently re-recorded two songs -- "Bile Towers" and "Dead Horses" -- with new vocalist Krysta Martinez (Transient) that are now available digitally worldwide.
German classic rocker's Zodiac have revealed a brand new music video for the title track of their recently released debut album "A Bit of Devil". The video was produced by Florian Breuer, Andreas Huck , & Roland Nebe of Warped Type in Dusseldorf ,Germany earlier this month. The UK-based extreme metal act Dragged Into Sunlight have fittingly premiered their new album 'Widowmaker"'on the grimmest day of the year exclusively in North America via Exclaim.ca here. Hailed as a main contender for "Album of the Year" honors by the likes of Revolver and MSN, 'Widowmaker' -- in stores next week -- has been described by the band as "everything heavier and everything louder than everything else."
Phoenix-based grinders Landmine Marathon have amicably parted ways with original singer Grace Perry and replaced her with Krysta Martinez, pictured above. A video stream of a new version of the band's song "Dead Horses" (from their acclaimed 2011 release "Gallows") featuring Martinez on vocals.
Progressive instrumentalists Scale the Summit have begun working on their next album, the follow-up to their highly acclaimed 2011 release "The Collective," which Guitar World cited as as "essential prog." A spring 2013 release is expected.
Canadian progressive metal quartet Heaven's Cry have just released an exclusive behind-the-scenes video on the making of their latest release "Wheels of Impermanence" through MetalInjection.net. The album, which was mastered at Sweden's Fascination Street Studios by Jens Borgren (Opeth, Katatonia, Amon Amarth), is currently available for purchase through iTunes or through the Prosthetic webstore.
'Go Down Swinging,' a new track by California classic metallists Holy Grail, is now streaming exclusively at MetalSucks. Check it out here.
