Grammy Award winning rock icon Lenny Kravitz has been confirmed to headline the Sunday main stage, closing the inaugural UR1 Music & Art Festival. Previously announced performers include Kanye West, Jane's Addiction, Lou Reed, Slash, Fun., Keane, The Offspring, Animal Collective, Santigold and over 100 other live acts & DJs.
Animal Collective is excited to announce the band’s return to New York. On Dec. 4-5, the band will play two dates shows at Manhattan’s Terminal 5. Fans who purchased tickets to the band’s postponed Williamsburg Park performance will have early access to pre-sale tickets for the rescheduled dates.
The UR1 Music & Art Festival will cross-pollinate music, art, performance and design for a once in a lifetime experience this December in Miami. The festival’s promoters are set to bring the world’s best DJs, indie and established acts, and performance and visual artists together for one weekend. Set to take place December 8 & 9, 2012 at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami, UR1 will feature multiple stages over the 32-acre property during the 11th annual Art Basel Miami Beach.

This fall, Lower Dens are hitting the road for a North American tour supporting Grizzly Bear. The band’s upcoming shows come on the heels of the band’s first headlining tour, which featured performances at Pitchfork Music Fest and The Forecastle Festival, as well as a sold out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom.
